LIVER FUNCTION TESTS

to metabolism, excretion, detoxification, storage,
plasma protein synthesis and blood clotting.
No single biochemical test is capable of indicating
the functional integrity of the liver
The liver function tests are essential in patients
suffering from following disorders;
•Biliary stone
•Hepatitis
•Malignancy, primary or metastatic
•Hepatic encephalopathy (hepatic coma)
•Alcoholic liver disease
•Drug toxicity
